Eucharistic Adoration

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Eucharistic Adoration is an opportunity to spend time with the Lord Jesus outside of Mass ... to behold Him and speak with Him, heart to heart, in the Blessed Sacrament.

When can I go to Eucharistic Adoration?

At Holy Family Parish, we offer Eucharistic Adoration with guided meditations, songs, readings, and prayers every Thursday from 6 to 7pm (bilingual). We also offer Eucharistic Adoration from 12:30 until 6pm on the First Friday of each month, with silent prayer during the afternoon and concluding with Vespers (Evening Prayer) and Benediction at 6pm. -- resumed in September From time to time we also offer additional opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration on special days of prayer - please check our bulletin to see if there will be another opportunity soon. Friday ADORATION and VESPERS is currently available on our YouTube Channel.

What should I do during Eucharistic Adoration?

Pray any way you feel comfortable! If you need some guidance, we have a basket of books, prayer pamphlets, Rosaries, and Bibles which you are welcome to borrow when you come. Most important is to enjoy this opportunity for prayer, which is "the raising of one’s mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 2559). We look forward to seeing you!
